A teacher, performer and accompanist 

Martin has enjoyed a varied career as a teacher, performer and accompanist. He was very fortunate to study with Vanessa Latarche, Head of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music, London also with Alex Kelly, former Head of Keyboard, Royal College of Music, and Kendall Taylor, teacher and technique specialist at the Royal College of Music. 
 
For many years he has been an examiner for the Royal Schools of Music, examining grades, diplomas and theory. Examining work has taken him all over the world and he has examined in China, North and South America, Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and many European Countries. 
 
As a pianist and accompanist Martin has performed in UK, Canada, South Africa, Europe, and also has TV and Radio credits. His final performance was a Beethoven recital at the Barbican, London. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
He holds a Master’s degree in Music, and during his studies he won both Academic and Performance prizes.  
 
Other music qualifications include Associate of the Royal College of Music, Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.  
 
He is fully CRB checked and is a full member of the European Piano Teachers Association. 
Whilst many former students have enjoyed becoming successful amateur pianists, some former pupils have gone on to study at Chetam’s Specialist Music School in Manchester, others have gone on to study at many of the UK’s most prestigious Music Conservertoires and Universities.  
 
Students have also gone on to achieve careers as songwriters, pianists, Musical Directors for professional theatre companies and school teachers specialising in music. 
 
 
 
Students have won prizes for gaining the highest marks in the country for their exam results.
